This is the land of enchantment and nowhere is that more apparent than here at the Northstar. Northstar is located five miles from Taos New Mexico in Arroyo Seco on the road to the Taos Ski Valley, in the middle of the fabled Enchanted Circle drive. Nurture yourself within the walls of our fabulous accommodation with it’s 360 degree mountain views. Come to ski, snowshoe, swim, shop, visit art galleries and museums, fish, hike, star gaze, paint, horseback ride, enhance mind, body & spirit or just sit basking and relaxing in our enchanting atmosphere.

The main building is a four thousand square foot adobe structure with vigas in every room; tile or hardwood floors throughout and is a spacious light filled compound. This structure houses all four guest rooms (three with private baths), a thirty foot ionized lap pool in the solarium, outdoor sauna, hot tub, a large fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable lounge area, complete with kiva fireplace and woodstove, all with incredible mountain views. Wireless Internet access and a TV/DVD/VHS are available.

The grounds include an enclosed adobe walled garden, extensive organic gardens and orchard all watered from our well or the acequia (an old fashioned irrigation ditch).  An outdoor cabana, sauna and hot tub are all available for our guests use.

Arroyo Seco is a small artsy town. It contains a few galleries and a number of working artists such as Scott Carlson's and John Bradford's Pottery shops and studios and Doug West's gallery and studio.  Francesca's fun and funky clothing boutique, the Arroyo Seco Mercantile, and Abe's Bar and Grill for drinks and burritos. The 360 Gypsy Cafe is a partially organic restaurant that serves food ranging from miso soup and brown rice to sushi to burgers!

The entire property is available for a family getaway or retreat for up to twelve people. The house and grounds with their stunning scenery provide a fabulous backdrop to any event. References for local caterers and events planners are available by request.
